I recently had my 2nd Kidney Transplant Operation on 23rd December 2005, how would you advice me if I can return to diving? My transplant surgeon who is not a diver or not know much about diving, advised me, to return to diving sports only 6 months later, however, I felt that is a bit too long for me to wait. I am fully recovered now and under regular monitoring by the doctor, do you advice me that I can return to diving now? If not, would you also suggest 6 months?

Thers no hard and fast rule,
but the primary thing is to look after the Tx'ed kidney,
if you are totally fit and well, but they said 6 months, then I think it best you stay to that time,
its not long really and you can catch the end of the season
