Can you tell me what effect an allergic reaction could have on a diver underwater?
If you've already had my question, sorry, I just wondered if I completed this correctly as I hadn't had a reply. Back in July I went unconscious underwater and was told not to dive again. Through sports diver my partner contacted you and you said get a 2nd opinion which I did. He's agreed I can dive agin under certain conditions. Since then I have found out I am allergic to ibuprofen and was taking it when I was diving. So I want to know if this could of had an effect?

This is obviously the cause,
an allergic reaction would cause you to faint/collapse and so it happened u/water.

so you can dive again but i suggest you do not on any other medication unless you are 100% sure you are not allergic to it.
