1) Advise the Receiver of Wrecks of your find
2) Advise the folk at St Andrews University, the Nautical Archeology Unit (all wrecks are of importance, do you know the name of your wreck?) They can provide advise on conservation, and possible further work on the site.
P.S. Your cannon will be of iron not steel.
