As i post this message, the Government of this country is deciding whether to stop us diving on war graves. May i remind the diving public that any ship that results in a death during war time, Royal or Merchant can be considered a war grave & that the Merchant Navy suffered more losses than the Royal Navy during WW2. If it was not for the Merchant Navy the British public would now be speaking German. The supply lines they used enabled us to fight the Germans & the Japanese, of course we must not forget the fact that the Royal Navy Kept those supply lines open. If we as divers do nothing then the government of this country will. We are a minority, the most dangerous thing in this country is an MP with an agenda, especially if an election is coming up, and if that MP screams about divers robbing War Graves, the general public will see it as no better than a person going into a Grave Yard, digging up the coffin & removing there Wedding ring. It is perception not fact that will control what the Government does. Do not allow selfish people to take away the most exciting aspect of our sport. Inform on these people, tell the Receiver Of Wrecks or Police if they take objects off a wreck, because if we don't then our diving will become very, very dull.
