: : Anyone got any experience of sourcing your own helium supply and whips/valves etc? Looking to mix my own heliar and wondered if there was a cheaper approach.

: Try Linde or Air Products for the gas - but be very careful about costs - remember that there are cylinder rental (monthly) charges on top. Remember also that for proper gas economy you may need more than one cylinder to cascade from, especially if there are a few of you.

: For whips etc, Sub-Aqua Products are very good. There is no such thing as cheap decanting equipment!

: You will need a bullnose to DIN whip with a bleed screw, a non-return valve, a large (oil free) gauge, and a needle valve. Ought to cost about £250 to £300.
: It may be cheaper to use a local shop (they don't make a lot of moey on gas sales - honest!) - at least you get a free cup of coffee and a chance to wander round the shop and stuff.

Thanks for the advice. Will find some mates to chip in.
