A couple of points for you BSAC club divers. Firstly there are signs and symptoms of Hypercapnia (co2 poisoning)that the victim can detect. Increased breathing rate, visual disturbance etc etc. Secondly the drill is 'if in doubt flush it out' to bail out to open circuit is NOT the first option. Lastly yes I own and dive a Buddy Inspiration, the greatest single advancement in dive technology since the invention of the aqua lung.
