I would look at other alternatives to the Kowalski, it is just too overpriced. One company I would strongly reccomend looking at is Greenforce. They are imported into the country by Lumb Bros (Tel: 0161 6815790). They are extremely well made and robust, and half the price of the Kowalski. They do a 20W HID umbilical for about £550 from your local dive shop. I had a play with them last week at the Dive Show and was very impressed.

Cheers

: Any thoughts and recommendations for HID lights for video use gratefully appreciated. The things are so dammed expensive that some independant advice is desperately sought prior to shelling out over a grand.

: I saw the Kowalski speed xenon light head at LIDS 24watt Xenon Hid with apparently 90 degree spread at 1m. It seems a very nice light but the battery pack is a bit of a clunker in my opinion. Has any one had experience of the above and especially do you know if these heads can be retrofitted to a different and preferably NiMh battery pack.

: Any other HID suggestions or comments gratefully received.

: Thanx

: Mark
