: My daughter will be 16 in two weeks time and is deperate to learn to dive, she hopes to become a marine biologist in the future and sees it as an important step towards this dream.
: I gained my OpenWater & Advanced OpenWater certification thru PADI in the USA. She also took advatage of a free pool dive with PADI's Discover Scuba program. Since then we have returned to the UK, currently living in Grantham, Lincs. My experience with PADI has been good though I can also recognise some of the published criticisms.
: Being a concerned father I obviosuly want her to gain the most thorough tuition and also refresh my own skills as it is over a year now since I got seriously wet.
: I would welcome impartial or partisan views on the best UK options, either here or by direct email.
However due to the fact that all out local clubs insited that you purchased all your gear within 6 months we left ( havent got 2k spare )
I have managed to find a SSI dive school brilliant ! better than pady safer and you dont need your own stuff but you do pay for your courses
