Not so long they were who all others looked up to. They were the best.

Ok they were pricey but you knew that you got quality.

Then things began to slip... It became a bit samey. They offered what THEY wanted and if you didn't like it then... well tough.

Other saw a gap in the market- a chance and they took it.

Market share began to slip but they said "It's ok" werethe best. all the other are too small. What can they offer?"

But things got worse. They decided to invest an show thenation that they were still the mightiest... but all that investment it taking a very long time.

The staff did not have to be helpful. they were the best. If you didn't like their opening hours well... Tough.

Okay they thought lets try someting else. A realunch offering food like to competition already did.. but not really as good actually.

A FEW of the staff could see the rot. They cared. The rest knew for a fact that the customer was WRONG.

What next? A markeing campaign telling every body that they were the best.. that should do it.. put the competition in their place- make them show respect. I know, in the marketing point out to all of their customers that they shouldn't do this beacuse it's not allowed and whine on about how hard it is to be the best.....

Yet are they. Have they lost the plot?

Or should we, the customers, show more respect and gratefully accept what's given to us?

How much more market share can they lose before someone says it's time to roll over.

Dinousaurs did not die out because they were not the biggest or strongest. They die out because they did not evolve quickly enough.

Any thoughts?
