To be honest with you, you wont really find a suit that is suitable for the Uk and places such as the Maldives....A 7mm semi dry is really the minimum suit you should consider for diving in Uk waters, and although this would also suit the med , carrying it will prove expensive as they are quite thick and heavy, and for tropical waters it may prove to be too warm, especially whilst sat on deck or kitting up! I know some people just use the legs/bibbing part whilst travelling, but that is a choice only you can make.It's not all bad news though.£200 should be more than enough to get a wetsuit!
