: : Not long passed OWD course, I want to start buying my own gear and am imminently buying a new bcd. I have read loads and have my eyes set on a ND Atlas mainly for the ability to upgrade if I ever want to use twins. Would this be a good choice for dry suit diving? Paddy
Yes its a good stab, it should serve you well. I use a buddy explorer - any buddy jacket can be used for twins... Just a thought, look what the guys you are likely to dive regularly with use.... it may be a good idea to get a similar stab so you can 'save a dive' if all your bits are interchangable with theirs (we all use Buddys- pne chap had an inflator die, we had a spare on the boat so he got two good dives that day instead of sea sick)) Look for robust construction and I would probably avoid gimikey bits.
Also look at your local dive shop - for servicing and aftersales....
