Hi all, I am Graeme just completing my Rescue and looking for people to dive with, age or experience is not a problem. Blackpool is my main area, I am in Newcastle about 2 time a month over weekends. So if you fancy teaming up just let me know.

Does anyone else out there find Lee's response deeply worrying or is it just me?

mr burch i can understand what your getting at if it wasn't for me stepping back and taking a look at what was happening then i would have been fast tracking through all the courses padi had to offer but realised the only way to become a better diver was to get in as much diving as possible whether it be at stoney or elsewhere.
i've only been diving since january and notched up 150 dives quarries and coast so now i feel confident in my diving capabilities. but during my time with my club i've seen divers railroading through courses sometimes from openwater to instructor and never leaving the six meter shelf at stoney. to me seems ridiculous as how can instructors pass on confidence and experiece in the water when they have got none themselves?.
having done my rescue diver i found i learned more through my instructor because of his experience rather than the padi course.
i can also understand why some divers want to go through to instructor if it means going abroad to teach but please back up your qualification with with diving experience.
i've learned more from diving with experienced divers than i would going on any course !!!.

well said geoff
you now talking sense

i no instructors that have never left a quarry {stoney} and i to think this is wrong

experience more dives the better you will be

just mix them up a bit as diving same place over and over will not get you ready

otherwise u will end up like a zoo animal just going round in same circles stuck in same cage

Geoff. You are absolutley right about have to take a step back and look at what;s going on. It's thinking about all those things that you haven't been taught that really helps. If you fancy a dive at Stoney some time let me know, although I hate to admit it (because it will give Razor some more ammo) but I think the NDAC has now overtaken it.

mr burch, we'll have to arrange a dive or two at ndac much prefer it myself than stoney.
on holiday in sharm from next friday, back second week in december so if you let me know your email we'll arrange some diving if you want when i get back.
ps:- do you think razor might come along, now we've got a new understanding of one another?

Geoff. My e-mail is diving@paul-burch.com. Are you sure you will be able to cope with the excitement of Sharm after all those Stoney dives? Won't you get withdrwawl symptoms from the Stanegarth ;-). Enjoy yourself anyway.

geoff if you still need someone to show "the attractions" at stoney. after all the dives you have done in there i'd give up
ps enjoy the salt water its real diving and just think you don't need to go in a circle now
