Hi everyone, I am new to all this and although I haven't got my own dive kit yet, I hope to have very soon! I am two dives off finishing my AOW course and am on the look out for a regular dive buddy, I really want to get into UK diving and am South coast based. If anyone is interested it would be great to hear from you.

Hi Leanne

Where abouts on the south coast are you based?
I'm an AOW based in Torquay.
The divings top here, (Babbacombe, Brixham, Plymouth etc)
And am diving Porthkerris in Cornwall later this year.
I'd be happy to meet up for a relaxed dive.
I've got my own gear and would be more than happy to show you Torbay diving.
Would like to get out and about more around the UK though.
Would love to dive Swanage / Portland way sometime.
Brighton also has lots of clubs.
If your interested in Buddying up give me a shout.

Dan

(Don't know if they have PM's on this site so I'll add my email address.)

Leanne

You don't mention where you have learnt to dive. Have you learnt to dive in the UK in a dry suit? How many non-educational dives have you had? Have you been in the sea yet? Have you done any boat dives? Can you deploy a DSMB? Anyone who you dive with should be asking these kinds of questions to understand your ability and ensure both of you can dive safely together. Drop me an e-mail on diving@paul-burch.com if you want to chat about this.

That last post should have put her off diving !!.

Whilst I agree in principle, its a bit strong..... Sounds like the Spanish inquisition.

Leanne, dive within your limits and your training and you won't go far wrong. Just be sure you bear the other persons experience and ability in mind when you start diving with them, and don't be too ambitious early on.

I seem to remember PADI saying 'diving is fun'.

you only really need to know these things if you not able to deal with them yourself.

I am based just outside portsmuth and dive on a regular basis. I am a PADI Divemaster as well as TDI tech diver.

I am always happy to meet new people to dive with. Drop me a line if this is of interest.

Hi I'm based in London and around the South East and am looking for regular dive buddies too. I'm happy diving at Inland sites or doing Sea dives so feel free to email me if you want to try and arrange something.
