Hi everyone,
I am AOW - only done 12 dives, Thailand, Vietnam and Spain but would love to dive some more and no longer have a buddy.

I wouldn't say i am extremly experienced so ideally i would like someone with more experience as a buddy.

If anybody knows of any good clubs which have trips abroad I am really interested in this so any information is much appreciated.

Im not so sure about Stoney- too cold for me i think?!!? But am open to persuasion. Also, i don't have any kit apart from mask and snorkel- Totally hopeless i know but i am enthusiastic and willing to buy stuff!

Thanks everyone
Anna

Hi Anna, I'm going to Bodrum, Turkey from 6th-14th May for a diving holiday. I've got details of a Bodrum Dive Club that does a 5 day/10 Dive package for 175 Euros - all kit included so you won't need to buy anything. I'm going alone which can be a bit of a problem so it would help me if I could find a buddy! Would you be interested in meeting up there? I'm AOW with 25 dives, usually dive with my daughter but she's off to the Maldives this year and I can't afford that! I booked through First Choice and it was about 320 for the week. Dave

Hi Anna. I realise you're not so keen on diving Stoney - it does get warmer!! lol. I'm an AOW diver with 12 dives, 28 year old male and looking to get a few more dives under my belt. I've only just bought my own kit, so if you're up for any diving at weekends at Stoney, drop me an email ryan.martinez@eastmidlandsairport.com

Ello Anna, My name is Helen I'm a Divemaster working with a Dive Club in Peterborough, Cambridgeshire.
I dont know where you're based but with regards to Stoney I can guaranty you that it is not as bab as you think.
Our Dive Club is open/free for people to join and so it is very much a mixed gender Club, (not only big butchy guys)! You would be more than welcome to stay in contact with usso that when we organise trips abroad or in the UK ( Summer time) you can come along.

Hope to hear from you soon
Helen

I would suggest that you need both experience in UK conditions (temperature and visibility) and experience in a dry suit. I would opt for a PADI dry suit speciality, which will include kit hire, so that you can see what you think of it over here. Also suggest that you stay shallow and hook up with an experienced diver initially.
