Editorial Policy
We do not 'censor' any of the pages in UK Diving, however, we do have a well established editorial policy to remove commercial or nuisance postings and postings that are abusive, use bad language, or may be considered libellous etc. It has always been our concern to provide a forum where the voice of divers can be heard and we are happy to encourage fair comment about products/services/places that are of benefit to other divers. For this reason it is not our policy to automatically edit, approve or censor submissions but we do have a responsibility to our serious users to maintain the quality and integrity of our site content by removing offensive or malicious material and to delete the volume of non diving related comments that inevitably get posted in open forums etc.

If you want to make a fair comment or express an opinion, then go ahead. All we ask is that you be aware that there is a difference between fair comment and making false or unsubstantiated allegations or libellous comments that could result in legal action. Please also consider that other users may not wish to read offensive or personal comments or bad language.

Those posting ‘suspect’ material and who believe that they are protected by the anonymity of the web should be aware that they are in fact traceable and legally liable for their comments. We are aware of one company that has successfully taken legal action against an individual for posting such comments.

UK Diving is here to serve the serious diver. So please help us to serve you by keeping the content of our pages up to date and relevant.

Thank you for understanding our position.
